“Let’s be creative

together and make magic”

Chiffon Boutique was birthed by Julie in 2016 as a way of portraying her artwork. Her artwork is an expression of life and how she sees the world. Julie was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Although she has worked in the health care field for the past 15 years, she cannot deny her love for art.

Chiffon Boutique specializes in acrylic artwork. Julie’s specialty is to paint landscapes, florals, contemporary abstracts. The medium of the art is acrylic on stretched and primed canvas in different sizes, with a finish coat of a sealant to protect the piece. The sealant is occasionally glossed. Chiffon Boutique consists of tangible paintings on canvas including a shipping service.

Julie’s inspiration for her paintings come from life experiences combined with the beautiful scenery of the world. In addition, her pieces also reflect her difficult transition into motherhood, where she spent 6 months in hospital. A piece could be about a sunset that she witnessed on a walk on a summer day, to experiencing a very difficult pregnancy with lung dysplasia. She creates artwork to invoke a memory or an emotion through different strokes and techniques within her paintings. The different colours that she uses resemble the essence of her life moments.

Chiffon Boutique’s mission is to inspire people within their core through artwork and to uplift others as they embark on their journey of life. For instance, for those who purchase paintings and find a place for them in their homes or offices, Julie wish’s to enhance a positive and inspirational feeling for them as they enter their space. The desire is to have an effect on others through these paintings, by bringing life into a room.

Julie’s work has been exhibited in places such as Roam Gallery and the Cardiodiagnostic Center at Gordon and Leslie Diamond Center in Vancouver, BC.
